Why Liquidity Sweeps Became One of 2026’s Most Popular Trading Ideas — And the One Problem Most Traders Miss
A real breakout and a liquidity sweep can begin with the same move.
London opens. Price breaks the overnight high — or the overnight low.
The hard part is not seeing the break. It is knowing what the break actually means.
The mistake is deciding too early.
How do you know which move is developing — before you enter?
Afterwards, every sweep looks obvious.
Look at a finished chart and the answer often seems easy.
"That was the real breakout."
"That was only a liquidity sweep."
But in real time, both can begin the same way: price reaches an important level, breaks through it, and starts moving.
The difficult part comes next.
Will price stay outside the range?
Or will it return inside?
That difference can decide whether you are joining continuation — or entering just before a reversal.
The first break is not the signal. What price does after the break matters more.
Do not decide first. Let the market show its hand.
SIE Pro was built to turn this uncertainty into a repeatable decision process.
It starts with a defined session range.
Then it watches what price does after the break.
There are only three outcomes that matter:
01 ACCEPTANCE → CONTINUATION
Price breaks the range and holds outside it.
The market is accepting the new area.
02 SWEEP + RECLAIM → REVERSAL
Price moves beyond the range, fails to hold there and returns inside.
The breakout is being rejected.
03 NEITHER → NO TRADE
The setup is unclear, too extended or does not offer a usable trade.
No trade is also a decision.
When a valid plan forms, SIE Pro maps the Entry, Stop and Target directly on the chart.

What does a real breakout look like?
In an Opening Range Breakout, crossing the boundary is only the beginning.
In Opening Range Breakout trading, this is often called acceptance: price breaks the range and can stay outside it.
A stronger continuation case appears when price can stay outside the pre-London range instead of immediately falling back inside.
SIE Pro waits for that response before a Continuation plan can qualify.
This is the problem with trading every London Breakout immediately:
It does not yet tell you whether the market accepted it.
And what does a failed breakout look like?
Now look at the opposite behavior.
Price breaks the Asian or pre-London range.
But instead of holding outside, it returns back inside.
The first move may have looked like a normal session breakout.
The response tells a different story.
This is the logic behind Sweep + Reclaim.
SIE Pro can then evaluate a Reversal plan instead of chasing the original breakout.
Correct direction is not the same as a good trade.
You can be right about direction and still have a poor setup.
- Maybe the entry is late.
- Maybe the move is already extended.
- Maybe the stop is too large.
- Maybe there is not enough room left to the target.
That is why SIE Pro does more than choose Long or Short. It also checks whether a usable trade plan actually exists.
The difference is simple.
WITHOUT SIE PRO
Price breaks the range.
Is it real?
Is it a liquidity sweep?
Should I enter now?
Where is the stop?
Is there enough room left?
Did I already miss the move?

Why we built SIE Pro.
The project started with our research into Opening Range Breakout, London Session Breakout and Asian Range trading.
The recurring problem was not drawing the range.
It was deciding whether the first break was being accepted — or rejected.
That became SIE Pro.
Could this decision process be made systematic?
SIE Pro turns the market response into a structured trade plan.
It maps the range.
It watches the break.
It evaluates the response.
It qualifies or rejects the setup.
And when a plan is valid:
EntryStopTarget
Acceptance → Continuation
Sweep + Reclaim → Reversal
Neither → No Trade
The goal is not to predict every move.
The goal is to know exactly what must happen before a trade deserves your attention.
